Ray White Casablanca launched
JAKARTA (JP): Realtor Ray White Indonesia inaugurated its 14th office in the country yesterday on Jl. Dr. Satrio in South Jakarta.
The company's chief executive officer, Johann Boyke Nurtanio, said his company, a franchise of Ray White Australia, was planning to open 26 more offices in Indonesia this year.
He said the property sector would improve soon despite the current economic crisis.
"It's the time to buy houses or other property since prices are still low," Johann said after the inauguration of the new Ray White Casablanca office.
He said his company hoped to attract Indonesian investors, many of whom had bought properties in Australia, to buy houses here since they had already gained profit from the appreciation of the dollar.
"The number of Indonesian citizens who have property in Australia is big enough," he said without citing figures.
The company, which focuses on residences worth between Rp 1 billion and Rp 2 billion, hopes to reach a selling target of Rp 750 billion this year, he said.
Meanwhile, head of the new Ray White Casablanca outlet, A. Riza Patria, said his office aimed to sell houses and apartments in the Kuningan area to people who live in the city's outer areas.
"By buying houses and renting apartments here, the people who work in the area could save time. Why live on the outskirts of the city if they can live here?" Riza said. (jun)
