Rape and rights

If even among criminals rapists are ranked the lowest, the public's view must be worse. During the robbery case which occurred during the early morning hours of Monday July 24, a mother and her 14 and 15 year old daughters became the victim of a gang rape by more than 10 men, who took turns violating their victims until they lost consciousness. The husband and father was helpless as his hands and feet were tied and a sickle was pressed against his neck.

Aside from the various reactions that have been aired, cases of robbery and rape such as this must not be passed over. In cases of rape which represent acts of barbarianism such as befell the Acan family on Monday, penalties that truly deter should be considered.
