Raising PPP flag turns deadly

KLATEN, Central Java: A man fell to his death from the top of
a tree Monday when raising a United Development Party (PPP) flag
on a bamboo pole, police said yesterday.

The staunch PPP supporter, Lestari, 20, came crashing down
after the wet pole he was holding touched a high voltage cable
and he was electrocuted.

"A strong wind was blowing when Lestari was tying the pole to
the tree," Sgt. Nasikun of the local police precinct said. "The
electric shock sent him down."

The man died on the way to hospital. (har/pan)
