Rail crash kills three

BANDUNG: Three people were killed when their transit van was
smashed by a train in Jl. Arjuna near Ciroyom Market on Tuesday.

The van's driver and another passenger were injured and
immediately taken to the Hasan Sadikin hospital, witnesses said.

The van apparently forced its way through although the rail
gates were already down just as the train from Sarijadi to
Ciroyom came by.

The accident was inevitable. The train smashed into the rear
of the van and dragged it several meters. (pet/emb)
