Ragunan's rhino died of old age

JAKARTA (JP): An African rhinoceros died last month at Ragunan
zoo from old age.

Head of the Ragunan Zoo Atje Dimjati Salfifi said on Thursday
that the 30-year-old rhino was very old for its species.

"It exceeded the normal life expectancy for rhinos and to have
lived until such a very old age was more than could have been
expected," Atje said, adding that the rhino had been around
almost as long as the zoo.

Ragunan has 3,600 animals in its collection, covering 372
