Radisson Hotels in RI changes name
JAKARTA: Radisson Hotels and Resorts, which operates starred hotels in four cities across Indonesia, has changed its name to Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts at the beginning of this month.
By changing its name, the hotel operator is no longer affiliated to the U.S.-based Radisson Hotel chain.
Dodhy Achdiyat, director of sales and marketing, said that the move was part of cost-cutting measures approved by the hotel's shareholders, which includes the Salim Group and state-owned Bank Mandiri.
The efficiency drive is crucial, particularly due to the overall decline in the hotel industry here amid various uncertainties.
Prime Plaza's hotels are located in Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Purwakarta. -- JP
