Racist attitude of PDI-P legislator

The rash denunciation by a legislator of the Indonesian
Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) of another
legislator, Alvin Lie, during a recent hearing with directors of
PT Jamsostek with the word keturunan or "descendant" is
considered abusive by Chinese Indonesians.

Keturunan is, as a matter of fact, a euphemism for "China",
the derogatory word for Chinese. The racist attitude of the
legislator has, in effect, cost PDI Perjuangan dearly, with the
loss of the long held sympathy of Chinese Indonesians.
