Rachman installs four deputies

JAKARTA: Attorney General M.A. Rachman inducted on Thursday four career prosecutors to fill four deputy attorney general positions, but the vice attorney general post now stands vacant due to the reshuffle.

Sudhono Iswahyudi, formerly chief of the West Java provincial prosecutors' office, was sworn in as the deputy attorney general for special crimes replacing Haryadi B. Widyasa, who has been appointed as the deputy attorney general for general crimes.

Meanwhile, acting deputy attorney general for development affairs Soewarsono was reconfirmed in his office, as was acting deputy attorney general for state and civil administrative affairs Harprileny H. Bareno.

Haryadi replaced Fachri B. Nasution, who had been the acting vice attorney general until his retirement on June 1. No replacement has been named for the second top post in the Attorney General's Office. -- JP
