Quintuplets enter record museum

SEMARANG: The four-day old quintuplets born in Bandung will be listed in the Museum for National Records.

"The birth of the quintuplets was an extraordinary event which touched the hearts of humankind," museum chief Jaya Suprana told journalists here yesterday.

"Taking care of two children can be troublesome let alone five babies," Jaya said. He said he has dispatched a team to Bandung to collect information on the quintuplets.

The quintuplets, two boys and three girls, were born in the 32nd week of Ellydawaty's pregnancy at one minute intervals during a 45-minute caesarian section operation.

The babies are reported to be doing fine. (har/pan)
