Quality is more important

I refer to the article in The Jakarta Post on Oct. 8, 1999 titled Drug rehab center turns away addicts. The title was inaccurate and misleading. Therefore, we need to clarify the state of affairs.

It is true that the facility for drug addicts can only take 40 patients. In fact, that is how it was planned. We believe more in quality rather than quantity. We could certainly expand to take in more addicts, but at the moment, the expertise available in Indonesia is still very limited.

So far we have not turned anyone away. There is still room for 12 people. However, everyone who enters our program, obviously seeking recovery, are there out of their own free will rather than being forced to do it.
