Qantas offers free tickets

JAKARTA (JP): Australian airline Qantas Airways is giving Indonesians a chance to win tickets from Jakarta to Sydney just by watching its award-winning television commercial, "I Still Call Australia Home", on RCTI and Indosiar private television stations.

Qantas General Manager for Indonesia Claire Hatton said on Wednesday the public could also join the competition by listening to private radio stations in Jakarta and reading the print media from August to September.

Hatton said the Qantas advertisements feature some of the world's most spectacular landmarks in China, New York, Venice, Argentina and Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory, Australia.

The world's second oldest airline, which started services to Jakarta in April 1950, provides six direct flights per week from Jakarta to Sydney, with connections to several Australian cities.

The airline also has two direct flights a week to Perth and various flights from Denpasar to different capital cities.

Qantas also connects Jakarta and Singapore five times a week. (01)
