Qantas, BA support RI tourism

JAKARTA (JP): Australian carrier Qantas Airways and British
Airways will support an international tourism event, the Jakarta
Highland Gathering, scheduled for May 28 at Lippo Karawaci in
Jakarta.

General manager for Qantas and British Airways in Indonesia
John Campbell said the involvements were part of the airlines'
commitment to supporting Indonesian tourism.

He said the two airlines previously supported the same events
in 1996 and 1997.

He said that the Jakarta Highland Gathering was an event where
people from different nations could meet and participate in
various arts and cultural activities. (cst)
