Puzzling snack
From Neraca
I have an interesting experience to tell readers. On July 29, 1994, I bought a package of snack food called Boyki Beef Steak Flavor produced by PT Siantar Top Sidoarjo in a small shop in Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta.
When I looked at the package I could not help wondering. It is written in Bahasa Indonesia that the ingredient has beef flavor. But its translation in Arabic says Dzauqu lahm al-khinziir, which means with pork flavor.
I was puzzled by this conflicting information, or is it a typographical error? Or is it incorrectly translated? I hope the parties concerned -- the Company and the Department of Health -- could clarify the matter.
