Puskud trial to commence next week

PALU, Central Sulawesi: The Palu District Court is scheduled on Tuesday next week to hear a Rp 10 billion corruption case, the biggest corruption case here in 20 years.

On trial will be the former head of the Central Sulawesi subdistrict cooperative units (Puskud), identified only as AD.

Taksin, the head of the Palu District Court, said a panel of three judges would hear the case.

AD is being prosecuted after the Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) audited the books and found that Rp 10.611 billion of the Rp 48 billion belonging to the Central Sulawesi Puskud was unaccounted for. -- Antara
