Purchase on credit

I read an advertisement in a newspaper offering a sale of a minibus Colt 120 SS on a credit basis, with a down-payment of Rp 3,500,000 and Rp 395,000 as a monthly installment. I was interested in buying the car under the prescribed term. But when I asked for further information, I was told that the installment will last for seven years and besides that I had to submit my land title as a surety to my credit.

Then I told them that the advertisement was misleading. Asking for a land title as surety to the purchase of car is too much. The advertiser should have mentioned about that requirement and must not try to cheat potential buyers.
