Punto is number 1

ROME: Fiat's Punto small car has become Europe's top-selling car, displacing Volkswagen's Golf at the head of the sales table.

However, the Punto's leadership position is not likely to last long as it has been driven by an Italian Government scheme offering incentives to Italians to trade in their old cars. This program ends in September.
