PT PAL delivers turbine

JAKARTA (JP): Surabaya-based PT PAL has delivered a 55 MW geothermal turbine to Gunung Salak, West Java.

PT PAL, a company supervised by the Strategic Industries Management Board (BPIS) in cooperation with Italian company Ansaldo, made the turbine.

Ansaldo delivered two similar turbines in 1994 to the Gunung Salak geothermal power plant.

The company announced over the weekend the new geothermal turbine would increase the Gunung Salak Geothermal power plant's capacity from 110 MW to 165 MW by June. (09)
