PT Intraco pays dividend

JAKARTA (JP): PT Intraco Penta, a trading company listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, will pay total dividends of Rp 1.09 billion (US$470.8 million) for the 1995 financial year, or Rp 25 per share.

The company, which specializes in the trading of capital goods and spare parts, announced Saturday that the total dividends account for 30 percent of the company's 1995 net profit, and will be paid to shareholders in August.

The company's profit dropped by 61 percent to Rp 3.06 billion in 1995 from Rp 7,9 billion in 1994, even though its total sales rose 51 percent to Rp 103.5 billion from Rp 68.7 billion.

During the period of 1992 to 1994, its profit increased by an average of 55 percent per year from Rp 3.4 billion to Rp 7.9 billion and its total sales by an average of 40 percent from Rp 37.9 billion to Rp 103.5 billion.

Heavy equipment contributed 65 percent or Rp 67 billion to the company's total sales in 1995 and spare parts 35 percent or Rp 37 billion. (13)
