PT Coca-Cola clarifies

Following the article in The Jakarta Post titled Hospital, firms accused of polluting rivers publish on July 26, we learned that PT Coca-Cola was mentioned as one of the 12 companies allegedly responsible for the Kalimalang River pollution in Bekasi.

We went to meet with the head of the environmental impact management agency of the Bekasi regency, H. Tirta Abdul Fatah, to get clarification about this issue and it was confirmed that our company was not part of the list of 12 companies invited by the agency on July 12 to provide further explanation on the river pollution.

PT Coca-Cola has a sophisticated and ISO 14001-certified waste-water treatment and recycling facility on our plant site and we have been recognized as a model company in environmental management in the Bekasi regency.
