Psychologists announce new body
JAKARTA: A group of psychologists completed a two-day congress here on Tuesday by declaring the formation of the Asian Council of Psychologists.
The council will be dedicated to advancing psychological research and practices in Asia, the declaration says.
The newly founded council will be affiliated with the International Council of Psychologists, which was established in 1941.
During the two-day forum, psychologists presented Asian perspectives on research topics such as gender roles, teenage depression and gambling. -- JP
