Prudential eyes Indonesia
JAKARTA (JP): New York-based securities firm Prudential Securities is studying the possibility of establishing a joint venture in Indonesia.
Angela Chen, a senior executive of the company, said the Bakrie group was a potential partner in the planned joint venture.
"We are still discussing the possibility," she told The Jakarta Post. She added that she hoped the joint venture could be established before the end of this year.
To be able to operate in Indonesia, foreign securities companies are required to established joint ventures.
She said Prudential Securities operates in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai in China. (09)
