BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Legal organizations here pledged they
would investigate the death of a female worker from the province
who was working in Singapore.

Director of the Bandar Lampung Legal Aid Foundation, Abi Hasan
Mu'an, said an investigation would be conducted on Sutarmi's
death.

Many here believed Sutarmi, 28, did not commit suicide as
originally reported. Abi said there was strong evidence that her
death was premeditated by someone else and that she did not hang
herself as stated in the death report.

He said the first step would be to exhume her body buried at a
family grave near Bandar Lampung. (mds)
