Private university launches TV program
YOGYAKARTA: Private Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University launched this week UMY TV, an educational-based television broadcast that will be run by students with an interest in the broadcasting industry.
Zuhdan Aziz of UMY TV said the program would be broadcast every day from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and would include independent films and animated films by students.
"We will also present commercials and public service advertisements also created by students," said Zuhdan, adding that currently the broadcast would only reach the campus and the surrounding area on Jl. Lingkar Selatan.
"We will increase the coverage in the future so that everyone in Yogyakarta will be able to enjoy our program," Zuhdan said. --JP
