Private radios to help UI
Private radios to help UI
M. Taufik -- the head of the Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian
association of private radio broadcasters -- said yesterday that
the radio broadcasting business in Jakarta still needs well-
trained people with university degrees.
Taufik made his comments after signing a cooperation agreement
between the association and the mass communication school of the
University of Indonesia (UI).
The agreement states that the association will supply some
facilities to the university's students while UI will provide
well-trained people to work at the association's commercial
projects.
The association has provided the school's lab with Rp 100
million (US$45,913) in new radio equipment.
He said that the radio broadcasting business offers a great
opportunity and a lucrative salary for the people who can make it
in the business.(03)
