Prison term sought for drug traffickers

TANGERANG: A prosecutor asked the Tangerang District Court on Thursday to sentence two men and a woman to three years imprisonment each for selling drugs in Panca Wira Sakti housing complex, Tigaraksa, in January.

Prosecutor Hasran Harahap said defendants Fani Katili, 30, Imam Suroso, 27, and Zulfikar, 30 were proven guilty of trafficking three packets of marijuana that totally weighed 4.3 grams.

Presiding Judge Lucia Usmani adjourned the session until next Thursday and recommended the three defendants, who were not accompanied by a lawyer, prepare their own defense statement.--JP
