Prison boss suspect in drug case

YOGYAKARTA: Yogyakarta Police have detained Wiragunan Penitentiary Chief Djati Setiawan and declared his a suspect for the possession of psychotropic drugs.

The police arrested Djati after allegedly finding 180 Lexothan (sedative) pills in his office at the penitentiary.

Police have also arrested warden Slamet W. for his involvement in the case, and declared him a suspect.

"Both suspects have their own lawyers representing them," Deddy Soewadi, Djati's lawyer, said on Friday.

Police began questioning both suspects on Thursday at the narcotics division of the Yogyakarta Police Headquarters, Djati said. --JP
