Press found too pushy
Complaints about the rowdy behavior of journalists are coming not only from officials but also liaison officers whose job it is to facilitate the activities of both the officials and the reporters.
Anton Hilman, head of the APEC liaison officers, said his female staff complained about getting pushed around by journalists.
"Most of our female officers are petite," he said. "The big journalists often simply push their way through to get to officials for interview."
"Have pity on them," he appealed to reporters.
The liaison officers have been told that they might have to make themselves available to work round the clock. (als)
