President teaches students in Magelang

SEMARANG: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono taught math to 1st year students of the Muhammadiyah junior high school in Blabak village during his visit to Magelang regency, Central Java, on Tuesday.

In his 45-minute visit to the private school, he was accompanied by several ministers, Central Java governor Mardiyanto and Magelang regent Singgih Sanyoto.

After concluding his visit to the school, Susilo separately gave speeches to students of the Taruna Nusantara senior high school and cadets of the Military Academy, also in Magelang.

At the Military Academy, the President also planted a tree to mark his visit, during which he called on teachers to eliminate the use of force in education. --Antara
