Prepaid GSM card launched

JAKARTA (JP): Local telecoms firm PT Cipta Multi Usaha Perkasa launched on Thursday an international GSM-based roaming card, the GSM card easyRoam, which enables mobile phone users to make calls from anywhere in the world and be charged at a single global rate.

Just like any other GSM SIM card, the prepaid easyRoam card can be activated by inserting the card in the phone, switching it on and entering the PIN number.

Each GSM easyRoam pack contains 800 units of preloaded credit. Customers can reload their cards by using the value card.

The easyRoam card service is provided by international telecoms firm Swisscom Mobile and distributed by Cipta Usaha. It was first launched overseas last year, can be used in over 100 countries. (cst)
