JAKARTA: The Public Relations Association of Indonesia will
honor 16 individuals and institutions for outstanding
contributions to public relations development.

The Perhumas 1996 awards will be presented on Nov. 11, said
association chairman Teddy Kharsadi yesterday.

Many people still think public relations work does not require
great skill, he said.

But public relations officers need analytical skills to deal
with the range of circumstances they face and to promote a good
corporate image for their clients, he said.

Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman Djojonegoro will
present the awards at a ceremony at the Century Park hotel. (ste)
