PPK Forum cautions district court

TANGERANG: Members of the District Election Committee (PPK) in
Tangerang urged the Tangerang District Court on Wednesday to drop
a forgery indictment against three PPK members.

If the court sentences them to prison, the PPK will withdraw
their membership on the committee and boycott the presidential
election, said Edi Joko, the leader of the PPK forum.

The three KPU members were reported to the Tangerang
Police by the Banten Provincial Election Supervisory Committee
(Panwaslu) on April 22 for allegedly falsifying ballots for
Cipondoh and Pinang.

The court trial began on Monday. -- JP
