PPATK to examine soldiers' accounts

BANDUNG: After revealing suspicious bank accounts belonging to 15 police officers, the Financial Transactions and Report Analysis Center (PPATK) will put the bank accounts of military officers under scrutiny.

PPATK head Husein Yunus said, however, the center would cooperate with the Corruption Eradication Commission, which holds the wealth reports of state officials, including military officers.

"We will start an examination after finding a certain officer has impossibly high bank savings given their salary," Husein told a seminar on Saturday. -- Antara
