Post's EMS service

I work for an export company. The company has to send samples of products to clients abroad. Hence, the company uses the post office's Express Mail Service (EMS) because it is practical, economical and reliable.

Imagine my consternation, when on Feb. 21, I prepared a product package to be sent to a client abroad. I was told that the service cost had been raised six times more than the usual tariff. I don't understand how the post office, which is a government institution, could come to such a service cost figure.

It should realize that the EMS is widely used, particularly by exporters. And isn't the government promoting the country's export drive? So, in this context, the post office is playing a vital part and supportive the government's effort in this area.

If the cost needs to be increased, it should be done in a rational way.
