Pornography a clear and present danger

We, the Association of Societies Opposed to Pornography (MTP), are a non-governmental organization that alerts society to the danger of pornography.

We found that Anjasmara's photographs at the City Biennale exhibition belong in the category of pornography. While the artist may hold the principle "Art is art", in our opinion ethical codes and a sense of appropriateness should also be given due consideration.

Artists must not be given special treatment and be allowed to express themselves without restrictions. It is true that freedom of expression is guaranteed by the state, but this must not be taken to mean that people can do anything they like in public. Art should also consider and respect the moral values of society.

In this context, we would like to call on all artists not to introduce values of liberalism in an arrogant manner. We are deeply concerned over the presence of pornography, which continues to claim more and more young victims each day. We all must pay serious attention to this problem and work together to abolish pornography.
