Porn film on board a ferry

I sincerely welcomed the news in your paper of Dec. 3 in the "Across the Archipelago" column, captioned Travelers say no to on board porno. On our trip from Kendari to Muna and back earlier this year we were very disturbed by the foreign films shown on board, the language was vulgar and the pictures gave one a feeling of unease, to put it mildly.

There was no escaping from this exposure to pornography; the screens showing the films were everywhere one looked, and the sound was too loud to make it possible to block it out.

I do hope that someone in authority will put a stop to showing such unsuitable films in public.
