Poppy to design Games outfits

JAKARTA (JP): Designer Poppy Dharsono will design the official wardrobe for the Indonesian contingent at the 19th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games which will be held in Jakarta in October.

Poppy beat Danny Dahlan, Valentino Napitulu and Studio 17 in a contest at the National Sports Council office yesterday which featured training, casual and defile clothes for the biennial event.

Each athletes will receive a Rp 600,000 (US$249) wardrobe including a hat, tie, shoes and three pieces of clothing -- dominated by red and white and a Sumba ethnic motive. (yan)
