Poor service from Telkomvision

I live in West Jakarta and have been using the Indovision Satellite TV service for many years now. Although the service has been reasonably reliable, Indovision has not provided multiple TV points in my house. Today I received a message with an explanation (Thank you, Indovision).

However, I am sure that I am not the first and only person interested in this service, so how come that after all these years Indovision still does not appear to be able to offer a solution to this problem?

Recently, Telkomvision installed cable in our housing complex, so I approached them for a cable connection. This was arranged very quickly. I personally went through the trouble of installing PVC conduit to run the cable into the house because I had seen the poor quality of the installation at other houses in the complex.

After connecting the cable to my TV, the reception was poor. First, I can receive only 28 of 38 channels. Second, all channels show a snowy, poor quality picture. Eventually it was established that the level of signal provided on the cable was insufficient. After this was established everything went quiet. Recently, even the poor picture disappeared. I have been sending faxes to Telkomvision but have received no response from them at all.

Many times I have read letters from your readers with complaints about Kabelvision, and it appears to be the same story everywhere. It is very sad to see that the people who are in this business have very little understanding of the term "customer service." They only pay attention when they can sign up a potential new customer; after that it is all downhill.
