Poor receive free medical checkups

JAKARTA: About 1,000 poor people from Pantai Indah village, Muara Gembong district in Bekasi regency received free medical checkups on Thursday.

The people are mostly fishermen and their families, who were hit by the major floods earlier this year, Antara reported.

The event was organized by PT Oracle Indonesia as part of Oracle Global Volunteers Day in cooperation with PT Asaba Computer Center and PT Fastrata Buana, which donated coffee and candies, and PT Mustika Ratu, which donated 1,000 crates of soft drinks.--JP
