Pondok Indah swimming pool

The management of South Jakarta's crowded Pondok Indah swimming pool seem not to care about public security and convenience as the number of visitors to the pool keeps growing.

Security guards prefer loitering around blowing whistles to warn swimmers against using big swimming tubes in the cascade or shooing children of the lawns instead of taking an interest in the safety of children as they climb the tall tower up to the slide.

The guards ignore the kids standing in the middle of the slide, which poses a danger of collision with those going down and thus inevitable injuries.

No attention is paid either to the requirement to use swimming tubes when going down the slide so that both adults and children use the slide without tubes. Meanwhile, the number of tubes available is very limited, and visitors sometimes hold on to them even if they are not using them.

In addition, the cleanliness of the pool also needs attention. It is essential that the management intervene and take prompt action to remedy these deficiencies.
