Pondok Cipta, AS-IOP lead in Cup

JAKARTA (JP): Host AS-IOP Apacinti soccer school had a 8-0 goal feast over Galapuri soccer school in the first day of the Under-13 Aspirin Cup soccer tournament at Aspirin-AS IOP soccer field on Saturday. Another match saw Pondok Cipta beat Jasa Marga 2-1.

Andro Levandi kicked six out of eight goals for his team in the 20th, 26th, 28th, 32nd, 51st and 52nd minutes, while teammate Akbar Ali contributed two others in the 18th and 23rd minutes.

Pondok Cipta's Tonny Rizki and Rendi P scored one goal each in the 44th and 59th minutes, while Jai Umbara managed an equalizer in the 25th.

Sixteen soccer schools in Greater Jakarta are participating in the tournament, which offers a total of Rp 3.75 million (US$415) in prize money. The event will end on Nov. 12. (ivy)
