Polysindo's revenue falls

JAKARTA (JP): PT Polysindo Eka Perkasa, a publicly listed textile producer, reported on Thursday operating revenue of Rp 516 billion (US$73.7 million) for the first quarter ending on March 31.

The company said that the figure accounted for about 45 percent of the operating revenue of Rp 1.13 trillion booked in the first quarter of last year.

The textile producer attributed the lower operating revenue to a lower utilization capacity during the three-month period.

The lower revenue resulted in an operating loss of Rp 138 billion.

The improving economic conditions in the country are expected to have a positive impact on future business performance, the company said. (hen)
