Pollutive Town Square

The World Environment Day has prompted me to write this letter.

We live next to Cilandak Town Square and really enjoy some of its facilities, such as the great variety of food & drinks available and its high quality, and the fact that the mall is within walking distance from home.

A serious disadvantage, however, is the mall's parking area bordering our house, which is not only noisy, but above all, also pollutes the surrounding area with car exhaust fumes. Drivers very often keep their engines running while parked, which is not only a waste of energy and money, but is first and foremost a serious damage to the environment. The air quite often smells strongly of exhaust.

We have talked to the mall management concerning this environmental problem and suggested they put up signs in the parking area banning drivers from running their engines while they are parked, but so far, there have been no results.

Hopefully, this letter will remind the Town Square management of this still pending problem and finally result in an improvement in our environment, in favor of all the people in and living around the mall.

This would not only increase the quality of life, but our desire to visit the mall, too.
