Poll committees withhold voter data

MATARAM, West Nusa Tenggara: Five district poll committees are
withholding voter registration data pending payment by the West
Lombok General Elections Commission (KPUD).

Hasanain Juaini, chairman of the West Lombok KPUD, said the
KPUD understood the demand and promised the commission would
disburse the money as soon as it was received from the West
Lombok regency government.

The poll committees, which have registered thousands of voters
in their five districts, are owed Rp 500 for each of the
registered voters. -- JP
