Police writing contest open

JAKARTA (JP): The National Police is holding a writing and photography competition on the partnership between police and the public concerning disciplinary actions, in order to create further public security.

A statement released by police headquarters yesterday stated that the contest is open to the public and the press.

The writing contest will cover editorials and articles on police-related issues.

Editorials and articles from media personnel should be those which have been printed between June 5 and July 30, 1995.

Contestants in the photography competition should include at least one police officer in their photos, the release stated.

Each contestant can submit up to five photos, at a maximum of 10 R (20.3cm x 25.4cm) size.

All articles and photos should be sent to the committee, Panitia Lomba Jurnalistik Polri, Dispen Polri, Jl. Trunojoyo 3, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, by July 31, 1995.
