Police to send team to RP
JAKARTA: The National Police will send a team comprising six investigators to the Philippines on Sunday in an effort to investigate two Indonesians arrested and charged with terrorism in that country.
National Police chief Gen. Da'i Bachtiar told reporters on Friday that the Filipino authorities had granted access to the Indonesian police to investigate whether the two arrested had any relation with the several terror attacks in this country.
"Our team will investigate the two Indonesians' identity because it's possible that they've used different names. We have people to verify whether they're known here with different names or not," Da'i explained.
Previously, Da'i said that according to the police data, the two Indonesian citizens -- identified as Muhammed Yusop Karim Faiz and Mohammad Nasir Hamid -- had no connection with any bombing incidents here. -- JP
