Police to reroute Jl. Prapatan traffic

JAKARTA: Police announced on Saturday that they would close a
section of Jl. Prapatan in front of the National Police Mobile
Brigade Headquarters in Kwitang area, Central Jakarta, on Monday
morning for a ceremony to officiate its new barracks.

"The road will be closed from 6 a.m. to around 9:30 a.m. and
the traffic will be rerouted. We apologize for the inconvenience
caused, especially for the expected traffic congestion during the
peak period," said City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Prasetyo.

The rerouting will be conducted as President Megawati
Soekarnoputri is scheduled to officiate the new barracks. -- JP
