Police submit Cimanggis dossiers

JAKARTA: After around four months of investigation and questioning, the Jakarta Police submitted on Wednesday dossiers of nine suspects in an explosion in Cimanggis.

"The dossiers were submitted to the Depok Prosecutor's Office," the city police spokesman Sr. Comr. Prasetyo said on Thursday.

The nine suspects are Oman Rahman, Inggrid Wahyu Cahyaningsih, Samin alias Apid, Muhammad Ferdiansyah, Agus Kusdianto, Hadi Suwandono, Syarif Hidayat, Kamaruddin and Septiono.

In the dossiers, all suspects were accused of multiple charges under Law No. 15/2003 on antiterrorism, Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 1/2002 on terrorist acts and Law No. 12/1951 on a state of emergency for illegally possessing explosive materials and attempting to incite terror.

The law on terrorism allows the police to detain suspects for a maximum of six months without trial.

A bomb exploded in a rented house in Cimanggis, Depok on Feb. 1. The explosion led to the discovery by police of the presence of a group that allegedly had organized several bomb-making trainings. -- JP
