Police seize marijuana from bus

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: Officers from the Lampung Police
seized 45 kilograms of marijuana on Thursday from a public bus
serving the Bandar Lampung-Jakarta route.

Police spokesman Comr. Fatmawati said so far none of the 36
passengers on the bus had admitted to owning the marijuana, but
police were still questioning the four members of the bus crew.

All of the passengers were released and allowed to continue
their trip after being questioned.

On Tuesday, police arrested Abdul Manan, 26, and charged him
with transporting 21 kilograms of marijuana aboard a bus serving
the Bandar Lampung-Jakarta route.

The Lampung Police have been searching public buses to reduce
the flow of marijuana to Java island. -- Antara
