Police seize 7m liters of fuel

JAKARTA: The National Police have seized some seven million
liters of fuel, which had been misdirected by companies, both
domestic and overseas, over the past three months.

However, the police have refused to identify the individuals
or companies involved in the crime.

National Police special crimes detectives chief Brig. Gen.
Suyitno said on Tuesday that the misdirected fuel had been seized
by police precincts and subprecincts across the nation, including
East Kalimantan, West Java and Jakarta.

"The violations occurred during distribution from the
Pertamina depot to local gas stations. Those involved were
individuals, companies and operators of gas stations," Suyitno
