Police seize 15,000 kiloliters of fuel

BANDUNG: A joint team found 15,000 kiloliters of mixed diesel and
kerosene fuel on Thursday in a warehouse belonging to a local
fuel agent in Baleendah district here.

The fuel was contained in seven drums, said the chief of the
Baleendah police subprecinct, Adj. Comr. Fama Dachi, who led the
joint team comprising police personnel and officials from the
state-owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina.

The police said that the fuel agent, Santoso, had already fled
the scene when the joint team arrived.

Santoso was named a suspect and faces a maximum sentence of
six years for hoarding fuel, which violates Law No. 22/2001 on
the oil and gas industry. -- JP
